Mahalaya – 10 October

Maha Shashti – 17 October
Bodhon and the first evening of lights. Crowds are lightest — the best night for the biggest theme pandals.
Maha Saptami – 18 October
Nabapatrika snan in the morning. In the evening, cover an outer zone by vehicle, then finish in a walking cluster.
Maha Ashtami – 19 October
Anjali in the morning and Sandhi Puja at the Ashtami–Navami juncture. Spend the day at traditional and heritage pujas.
Maha Navami – 20 October
The busiest night. Stay local, walk a central cluster and catch dhunuchi aarti.
Vijaya Dashami – 21 October
Boron and sindoor khela in the morning, visarjan processions towards the Mahananda later in the day. Expect road closures along the procession routes.
