The fastest way to use the Durga Puja pandal map 2026 is zone by zone. Siliguri’s 83 pandals cluster into five areas, and staying inside one of them for an evening saves you the slowest part of Pujo — crossing the city at peak hour.

Central Siliguri: the densest zone

Babupara, Hakimpara, Mahananda Para, Ashrampara and the Hill Cart Road belt hold the biggest share of pujas. Dozens of pandals sit within a short walk of each other, so leave the vehicle outside and go on foot.

South & South-Central: Deshbandhupara, Shaktigarh, Milanpally

Home to some of the year’s top-scoring theme pandals. Burdwan Road and Church Road are the main approaches; several pujas here run strict pedestrian cordons in the evening.

East & the Sevoke Road corridor

Haiderpara, Punjabi Para, Salugara and the Sevoke Road stretch are known for large lighting displays. Distances are longer here, so a bike or scooty is the most practical choice.

North Siliguri: Champasari & Pradhannagar side

Wider roads and more open grounds make the north a good family zone, with easier parking than the centre.

West, Junction & Rajganj side

Pujas around Siliguri Junction, Matigara and the outer west are convenient if you are staying near the station or arriving by NH10.

How to combine zones in one evening

  1. 1Pick one main zone and one neighbouring zone — never more than two.
  2. 2Visit the outer zone first in daylight (4–6 PM) when roads are still moving.
  3. 3Finish in a walkable cluster after dark, when vehicles slow to a crawl.
  4. 4Use the route planner to order the stops automatically.
