On the Durga Puja pandal map 2026, Siliguri’s centre looks crowded with pins — and that is good news if you walk. In the core around Babupara, more than thirty pandals sit within about 750 metres of each other. On foot you skip barricades, parking hunts and one-way diversions.

Loop 1: Babupara & Mahananda Para core

The densest cluster on the map, between Hill Cart Road and the Mahananda. Start near Venus More and work outwards so you finish close to the main road for an auto home.

Loop 2: Hakimpara & Ashrampara

Narrow residential lanes with some of the city’s most respected traditional pujas, including Hakimpara Yuvak Sangha. Vehicles are restricted in many lanes, so this loop is walking-only in the evening.

Loop 3: Deshbandhupara, Subhas Pally & Shaktigarh

The southern loop is home to several of the year’s top theme pandals. Approach from Church Road or Burdwan Road and expect police pedestrian corridors after 6 PM.

Walking tips for Pujo nights

  • Wear comfortable, closed shoes — lanes get crowded and uneven.
  • Carry water and a small power bank; you will use the map a lot.
  • Fix a meeting point (a sweet shop or a pandal gate) in case your group splits.
  • Walk against the main crowd flow where you can; queues move faster in the first hour after opening.
  • Use the route planner in Walking mode to get an ordered loop from your exact start point.
