Pujo Pandal (durgapujapandal.site) is a free guide to Durga Puja in Siliguri. We built it to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the site.
What we collect
You do not need an account to use Pujo Pandal, and we do not ask for your name, phone number or email to browse the site.
If you email us — directly or through the contact form, which opens your own email app — we receive whatever you choose to write, along with your email address. We use it only to reply and to update pandal information.
Saved pandals stay on your device
Pandals you save to “My Puja plan” are stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Your location
When you tap “Near Me” or “Use my location”, your browser asks for permission. If you allow it, your position is used inside your browser to centre the map and build routes. We do not store or receive it.
When you build a route, the coordinates of the start point and the pandals are sent to the OpenStreetMap routing service (routing.openstreetmap.de) to draw the road path on the map.
Third-party services
Maps are drawn with map tiles from Google Maps and OpenStreetMap. Like any website, those services receive your IP address and browser details when your device loads their images. “Open in Google Maps” and “Directions” links take you to Google Maps, where Google’s privacy policy applies.
The site is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested and time) for security and reliability.
We do not run advertising or analytics trackers. If that changes, we will update this page before adding them.
Cookies
Pujo Pandal does not set cookies of its own. Local storage is used only for your saved pandals.
Children
The site is a general festival guide and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights and contact
You can ask us to delete any email you have sent us. Write to pujopandal@gmail.com and we will reply as soon as we can. This policy follows India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
